Safety Notice Involving ElliptiGO Products
We are writing to inform you about a potential safety issue affecting all ElliptiGO Arc models. We have received reports of twelve ElliptiGO Arc frames failing in the field and reports of ten others having developed one or more cracks in the frame. Several riders fell as a result of their frame failing and some suffered injuries, including lacerations and abrasions on their arms and legs and a cracked helmet. Because customer safety is a top priority for us, we have voluntarily decided to recall all ElliptiGO Arc models to ensure there are no additional frame failures.
We are contacting you because we believe that you own an ElliptiGO product. To ensure your safety, we ask that if you own an ElliptiGO Arc model, that you please do not ride your ElliptiGO Arc. We are in the process of notifying the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (“CPSC”) about this situation and requesting authorization to recall your ElliptiGO Arc. Once that happens, we will be able to let you know what remedy we can provide and the timeline of the recall. We know you are eager to understand what to expect and we will update you with that information as soon as we have it. The Arc 3, Arc 8 and Arc 24 are the only ElliptiGO models affected by this issue. Below are photos of what ElliptiGO Arc models look like:
We value the trust and confidence you have placed in us through the purchase of your ElliptiGO. We will update you on our progress with the CPSC as soon as we are able. All of us here at ElliptiGO sincerely apologize for this situation and the inconvenience it causes you. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We can be reached at 888.551.0117 or via email at info@elliptigo.com.
Sincerely,
The ElliptiGO Team
